“. . . and seven cents.”

So, the Silver Bullet went to the shop over the weekend. Actually, I think I would prefer to call it “The Shoppe” because it will make me feel more upscale about the services rendered. $1,467 and you know the rest. But, the good thing is everything is fixed and it drives like new. Don’t ask me what was fixed, because I stopped writing the list was so long. I told my dad that I bought a new car, except that it is the same car I already had. But, since it is paid off, I live in the city and can get probably another 100,000 miles out of it if I take care of it, it just doesn’t make sense to trade up. At least not yet.

In unrelated news, every once in a while I dabble in online dating, mostly as a result of boredom. (Side note: I should make a website of the worst online profiles - now that would be an entertaining website.) As it turns out, I have a date on Saturday. I was not immediately offended by this guy, so I decided to give it a shot. He lives in Wisconsin and will be taking the train in (but he does have a car, he made sure I knew). Someone should tell guys how to interact with girls. Seriously. This guy called me last night and talked until midnight, at which time I insisted I had to go after my many yawns. Guys: when first calling a girl, make conversation for fifteen minutes, if you like her - ask for a date, make quick plans then HANG UP! The whole phone call should be twenty minutes tops. If this guy knew that information, I would not have been so tired at work today.

Is it concerning to anyone else that the deciding factor on whether or not to date a guy is “I wasn’t immediately offended”?
